Mallya: FI has not revealed his potential

With only six points scored in the first two Grands Prix, Force India has had a disappointing start to the season. The Chinese GP played this April 17 in Shanghai will be an opportunity for the Indian team to relaunch itself in the Manufacturers' Championship.

Force India boss Vijay Mallya is confident his team can achieve better results. “We feel like we haven't revealed our true potential this season. Our two races were highly compromised, whether because of our mistakes or external circumstances. So I would like to see what we can achieve at the end of a race without a hitch. We know we can place well in the top ten when things work out the way we want them to.", commented the Indian businessman.

Nico Hulkenberg, only 15th at the last Bahrain Grand Prix after hanging on at the start, shares the opinion of his director. “My expectations for this weekend are high and I hope to have a worry-free race in China after the disappointment in Bahrain. The pace of the car is good as our qualification in Q3 proved. »

His teammate Sergio Pérez was not better off at the Sakhir circuit, also being the victim of contact. The Mexican still has no points in the Championship. “I want to start my season properly in Bahrain after two disappointing races. The results in Australia and Bahrain could have been much better, but things didn't work out for me. It's part of the race and I know things will change. It's an identical situation to that of last year... The atmosphere in the team remains unperturbed. We have progressed in Bahrain with the developments and we are moving in the right direction”, added the former pilot McLaren.
