Manor confirms withdrawal from F1

This is through a press release from FRP Advisory, the administrators of Manor F1, that the closure of the Manor F1 team has been confirmed. The future of the British team seemed very obscure since it was placed into administration on Friday January 6.

“Over the past few months, the team's management has worked tirelessly to find new investors to secure a long-term future, but unfortunately we were unable to achieve this objective in the allotted time. We had no choice but to place it in administration…”explains the statement.

“Since the arrival of the administrators, no investment has been ensured in the time allowed so that the Group remains in its current form…. We had to ask employees to go home this Friday, January 27. »

Manor started in 2010 under the name Virgin Racing before being renamed after the Russian manufacturer in 2012 and taking its “final” name in 2015.

Manor's sad end appears to have been partly caused by the loss of revenue that would have secured 10th place had Sauber not pipped him to the post with Felipe Nasr's 9th position at the 2016 Brazilian Grand Prix. grid for the 2017 season is therefore final.
