Marcus Ericsson owns up to his mistake in qualifying

If you feel like you want to take the Williams did not particularly shine on the Rock this Saturday in qualifying, Felipe Massa's session came to an abrupt end, after Marcus Ericsson's error braking at the Mirabeau corner at the end of the first part of the qualifying session of the Monaco Grand Prix this Saturday afternoon.

“On my last flying lap, I was behind Massa in turn five and he went off-line which meant I changed my braking point. I locked the wheels and took him into the barrier. I recognize that it was entirely my fault, and I'm sorry that it took him out of qualifying. » declared the teammate of Kamui Kobayashi at Caterham.

Felipe Massa was indeed unable to take part in Q2. The Brazilian will start 16th tomorrow, while Marcus Ericsson, who is sporting this weekend a helmet in homage to Ronnie Peterson, winner 40 years ago in the Principality with a Lotus, will start dead last.
