Mark Smith leaves Sauber F1 Team
A few days before the start of the 2016 season F1 in Melbourne (Australia), Sauber F1 Team announced the departure of its technical director Mark Smith. The British engineer has joined the teamHinwil last July after working at Jordan, Red Bull, Force India and Caterham.
In its brief press release, the Swiss structure mentions family reasons to explain this sudden departure, specifying that the Briton had already left the company.
