The tire sank into the rim but, fortunately for him, not enough. “ Within five millimeters, the tire would have slipped and it could have lost all its pressure », continues Hamashima.

Mark Webber therefore escaped the worst, thanks to his tough tire but also to the characteristics of the circuit. “ Mark was lucky with the track because if there had been high speed corners the tire would have moved more and it would have been over for him. Otherwise, I have already seen tires hold like that for a few laps but 25 laps is incredible! »
