Mark Webber is hungry for victories

At 35 years old, Mark Webber is one of the most experienced drivers on the grid. Present in Formula 1 since 2002, the Australian has waited for the 2009 German Grand Prix, his 130th in the category, before winning. Three years and eight successes later, the pilot Red Bull intends to add to its list of new victories, invigorated by a promising start to the season and the extension of its contract. After 11 races, he occupies second place in the championship, 40 points behind Fernando Alonso.

« It's human nature to always want more, Webber explains to Autosport. You never think you have more wins than some world champions, even if you do. Is it possible to have only one victory and a world title? Yes, probably, but I have nine wins and of course I want more.»

Webber believes that the level of form of Red Bull Racing will allow him to increase his prize list, having just extended for an additional season with the Austrian team. “ We've had our ups and downs, but it's up to me to improve my stats, He adds. I will work very hard for this, but in the end, numbers never lie. I'm on a world-class team, and we have a great chance to improve many stats and that's what I want to do. »
