Mark Webber wants to return to victory

Mark Webber (Red Bull), after a flamboyant first half of the season, has stalled slightly. The return of Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) and the renewed motivation of Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) have placed the Australian behind these last four races. However, the leader of the World Championship was able to score big points in his quest for the title, reaching the podium three times in four races. But, in order to race towards a first world crown, Mark Webber knows he must win again before the end of the season.

« I still need to win in the future, he confided to Suzuka. I am confident in my ability to do it. It will be of great help to me (for the title). But it is clear that reliability will also be paramount. There are also many other things that come into play, including the circumstances of the race. But I need a victory. »

Indeed, if Webber's lead (14 points) over Alonso and Vettel seems comfortable, it is not. A retirement or even a final place beyond the top 5 in Korea could deprive him of control of the World Championship. Additionally, the rivalry within Red Bull Racing continues with greater intensity as the season draws to a close. “ We are lucky to have two talented drivers, full of composure. This inevitably raises questions? but these are rich people's problems », Explains, reassuringly, Christian Horner, boss of Red Bull Racing.
