Marko worried about Ferrari performance

If the approach to the start of the season is always an opportunity to reject the label of favorite, the performances of the Ferrari SF70H carried out during winter testing in Barcelona (Spain) raised many questions in the paddock.

Si Mercedes has certainly hidden his game before the Australian Grand Prix which will be contested on March 26 in Barcelona, Red Bull Racing seemed slightly behind with the RB13 even if Renault seems to have progressed with the Power Unit.

“Ferrari is both efficient and reliable. This is the difference if we compare to last year, assured Dr. Helmut Marko on the Red Bull channel Servus TV. What worries me is that I know very well Hag. He voluntarily took his foot off during his best lap at the finish line. Anyone can tell you that. If we do this, it means that confidence and knowledge about the car are very high. »

“Nobody really shows their cards, nevertheless recognized the manager of the Red Bull Junior Team. We lose around 0”35 per lap if we carry 10kg of extra fuel. The engine maps are also different and you can gain up to a second per lap. A lot of things still remain unknown, but Ferrari will be in front if the first race takes place in these conditions, that's for sure. »

Kimi Räikkönen set the best test time on the Catalunya circuit with a lap completed in 1'18''634 with the super soft tyres. Max Verstappen achieved the best time for the RB13 by setting the 6th fastest time in testing, around 8 tenths off the benchmark with the same type of rubber.
