Martin Whitmarsh new managing director of Aston Martin Performance

Martin Whitmarsh joins Aston Martin Performance as general manager of the brand. A position he already held for McLaren, during his 25-year career in Woking. He will be responsible for the activities of the stable F1 and will seek to develop the technical capabilities of the British group.
Lawrence Stroll, executive chairman of Aston Martin, welcomed this arrival: “ Martin has enjoyed a long, successful and highly publicized career. He is the perfect person to work with me and our team to lead and inspire our staff to future success, on and off the track ». The main interested party joined the team for a single objective: “ Lawrence intends to win Formula 1 world championships, plain and simple, and I wouldn't have joined him in that endeavor unless I was completely convinced that it was a completely achievable goal. »
