Marussia confirms filing for bankruptcy!

It’s a very sad end for Marussia F1 Team whose administrators confirmed to the British press that the Banbury team has ceased its activities and that it would lay off its staff. The provisional entry list which includes 11 teams is thus reduced to ten, with the heavy question which also concerns Caterham.

Despite discussions with two potential investors, the Banbury structure failed to obtain funds before today's ultimatum. “It goes without saying that it is extremely regrettable that such a company would be forced to cease operations and close its doors,” commented Geoff Rowley, Director of FRP Advisory.

According to the BBC, there is still hope that the team will be taken over by part of the management under the name Manor F1.
