Marussia has not yet surrendered

The Marussia F1 Team structure still appears to have a chance of remaining active following the postponement of its auction. A buyer might be interested.

Marussia Manor may not have said its last word in F1. While the team is still registered (like Caterham F1 Team) on the entry list for the 2015 season, Auction of its equipment scheduled for this Wednesday, January 21 was postponed then “cancelled” by GA European Valuations which gave no further details.

Graeme Lowdon, the team's sporting director, said on Sky Sports that he retained the hope of finding a way out to continue the competition. “It’s technically possible. Manor has been in motorsport for quite a while. It's a valuable team that means a lot to the spectators. Even if it is hard, it is still possible for the team to be present. I think it would be good news for F1. »

The future of Manor is hanging on the decision of a possible buyer, but the team is still included on the FIA entry list. The cancellation of the auction raises hopes of discussions with an investor, even if the latter must be ready to pay off more than 27 million euros of debt accumulated by the team.
