Ambitious Massa in Monaco

Felipe, are you still concerned about the reliability of your car ?
No, I'm very confident. I know we can do good work. What happened to me during the last Grand Prix had never happened to me before. We had enough gasoline but the gauge incorrectly indicated the remaining quantity, and therefore my fuel consumption. Which means I probably saved gas for nothing.

So you hope to succeed better here in Monaco?
Yes of course. In Spain we have taken a big step forward. We were very competitive in the race. We had a problem but, in retrospect, we had a good weekend. Monaco is a very special circuit compared to what we have known so far so things can be very different. Some cars are less competitive in certain races, we hope we will be as fast as in Barcelona. Because what happened there is really a shame for us.

What are the difficulties of this Monaco circuit?
All the turns are difficult, but the Casino one is certainly the one that offers the most complicated challenge. I had an accident there two or three years ago. But to set a time, all the turns on the circuit are difficult and you can lose or gain time there. So you have to be consistent and take all the turns well.

Especially since you have good memories here?
I hope to have as good a race as last year. I took pole, one of the best of my career, with a fantastic car. The race had been a lottery, we had not won, but we were very fast. I hope I can do as well this year.
