Lance may be young (18 years old), but Williams is known for introducing young drivers to the sport. He knows he has a big learning curve ahead of him, but motorsport is a team sport and I will support him as much as I can. »

For his part, the reigning champion of the F3 European Championship is delighted to be able to count on Felipe Massa as a teammate, while the Brazilian is on the downward slope of his career.

“I am convinced that many racing fans are happy with Felipe's decision, declared the Canadian Journal de Montréal. I've known him for several months, in fact since I took on a development pilot role last year. It was the ideal solution to fill the departure of Valtteri. But for me, Felipe's arrival does not change anything in my situation. I face the same challenges and my preparation for the season remains my priority. »
