Massa: Hungarian GP will be different

Felipe Massa is preparing to return to the Hungaroring, the circuit where he had his accident in 2009. But the page on this difficult episode in his career has now been turned and the driver of the Team is focusing on his next race where he hopes to see the F150° Italia more at ease than at the Nürburgring, where the cool temperatures had disadvantaged the car Italian.

“We are optimistic about another positive weekend”, announces Felipe Massa. “Added to the fact that we will once again have the soft and super soft tires which are better suited to our car, we can hope for a little more normal weather in Hungary with summer temperatures which will benefit us. Additionally, our development program continues and we will have some slight developments for this weekend. »

However, the car will have to perform well in qualifying, as overtaking is known to be difficult on the Hungarian turnstile. But Felipe Massa believes that overtaking aids and tire degradation will offer opportunities. “The nature of the Hungaroring track can sometimes make the races a little boring. But there will be more overtaking this year with DRS, even if the straight is not long. Between tire degradation and high temperatures, there will be some interesting strategies. »
