Massa will be missed in the F1 paddock

The drivers of the paddock of the F1 seem unanimous towards Felipe Massa. Everyone regrets the future departure of the pilot Williams whose career has motivated some to pursue car.

“Apart from the talent and speed he has on the track, he is a very pleasant person to talk to and we will miss him.”, said Sebastian Vettel during a press conference held in the Monza paddock which is hosting the Italian Grand Prix this week.

“We had a good relationship when we rode on the same team, added Kimi Räikkönen who remembered his first stint within the Team Ferrari from 2007 to 2009. He had difficult times, but he is in any case a very good person. »

“We have been competing against each other since it began 15 years ago, underlined Jenson Button, another veteran of the discipline who is one of the potential contenders to replace him at Williams. It's always a strange feeling when a driver announces that he is going to leave the discipline, especially since he has collected numerous victories (11) and came close to the title (in 2008). »

“I was very young when he started running, highlighted Kevin Magnussen. He had a very long career and he succeeded in it. If he feels it’s the right time for him, I wish him luck. »

“I met him for the first time in 2005, I must have been ten or 11 years old, has explained Carlos Sainz Jr. He was very kind to me and remained my hero as an F1 driver. I went to greet him before coming here to wish him the best for the future because I have always had a lot of respect for him. »
