Massa doesn't want to hear about retirement

Having just celebrated his 31st birthday, Felipe Massa is preparing to begin his 14th season in F1 by continuing to evolve at Williams. If the Brazilian is an old hand in the discipline, he still plans to compete in many Grands Prix before retiring.

“I feel like I can still accomplish great things”, declared the 2008 runner-up on the Clare Balding Show on BT Sport 1. “I think everything can change in 2017 and I'm sure my experience will be valuable, but I want to focus on the 2016 season for now. If I have a good year, I am convinced that I will have opportunities to continue within a competitive team. »

Felipe Massa also believes that Lewis Hamilton remains the best contender for the title even if his end of the season in 2015 was less brilliant following the start of Nico Rosberg. “He might be trying to enjoy life, but I'm sure he's working out at the same time. Everyone saw that he was terrible at the wheel... It's true that he has the best car, but he is much better than the other drivers and I think he deserves his success”, added the Williams driver.
