Massa: “We didn’t see much there anymore”

Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), by stating that he no longer saw certain braking points during the Korean Grand Prix, a few tens of seconds before retiring, had received little response. But the rapid fall of night really hampered the drivers, the “final” start of the race having been given at more than 16 p.m. local time. As the Grand Prix ended at almost 18 p.m., the drivers did not fail to highlight the difficult conditions at the end of the race.

« It was a very difficult race to finish. We couldn't see much anymore, especially since we have lights on the steering wheel, which shine very brightly. In dark conditions, they dazzle you », Felipe Massa told us.

The Brazilian, who nevertheless congratulates the race management, affirms that visibility was already difficult at the start. “ I think Charlie Whiting did a good job. He started at the right time, even though visibility was limited. It was very complicated in this sector »

Finally, Felipe Massa was able to finish the race and offer himself a new podium. “ We achieved a very good result with a good number of points for the team and that puts us in a very good position in the championship, with a view to the last two races. »
