Massa regains victory

Felipe Massa, father of a young child? Felipe, less than a week ago, wanted to dedicate his victory to him during the 500 Miles of Granja Viana, a race karting taking place this weekend in Brazil. This Sunday, the Brazilian won, with Lucas di Grassi and Julio Campos, during this endurance race at the wheel of small cars.

« There is no better way to resume, especially since it is deserved, because we led from start to finish, said the pilot Ferrari after arrival. And there's no better way to show that I recovered, winning such a 500 mile, eleven hour race. » The vice-world champion of F1 can be congratulated all the more as he was the most diligent on the track at the wheel of kart no. 19.

« I dedicate this race to my son, of whom I was not supposed to think at the end of the race, to make this gesture in his honor. This victory goes 100% to my son. Finally, I also have to thank my teammates, Lucas and Julio. They drove well, without any damage. »

Last week, Felipe Massa had already shown himself during the International Challenge of the Stars, a charity event that he organized. The Brazilian finished third in the first race and won the second, resisting attacks from Michael Schumacher.

During these 500 Miles, Rubens Barrichello, eight times winner of the event and who teamed up with Tony Kanaan, finished in third place.
