Massa: “Come back as soon as possible”

Felipe, how are you feeling? What do you remember about your accident?
It's a strange feeling. I know exactly what happened. I know that the spring escaped from Rubens (Barrichello)'s car and hit me in the helmet. I know it happened to me but I didn't feel anything when it happened. They told me that I lost consciousness when the spring hit my helmet and then I hit the wall. Then I woke up in the hospital two days later. I don?t remember anything and that?s why the doctors had to explain to me what happened. When I saw Rob (Smedley, his race engineer), he asked me if I remembered Rubens. The last thing I remember is being behind him at the end of my fast lap in Q2. Then there is the black hole. It is difficult to explain. I feel better now and I want to recover as quickly as possible to get back behind the wheel of a Ferrari.

Do you want to thank someone?
First of all, I want to thank God. Then I would like to thank the circuit doctors and the AEK hospital in Budapest, who did a lot for me, and also Dino Altman, who came with my family from Brazil and who has been extraordinary these last few days. I would also like to thank the many people who prayed for me and wrote to me, even people who are not interested in Formula 1.

What is your wish when returning to Brazil?
I want to come home, check that everything is as it was before. A lot has happened in the last few days and I want to get back to normal life. I want to come back in the best possible conditions and do everyday things.

Michael Schumacher is going to drive your car, what do you advise him?
Michael doesn?t need my advice! He?s one of those who gave me a lot of advice during my career when we ran together. He knows how to win, he knows how to drive and he is fantastic: it was the best choice to put such a driver in the car. I'm sure everyone will be happy to see him back on the track. Despite everything, I hope to return to the track with Ferrari as soon as possible.
