Massa so close to the podium at the Australian GP

Felipe Massa struggled to hide his disappointment after the Australian GP. Starting from third place on the Melbourne grid, while his teammate Valtteri Bottas had to withdraw, the Brazilian was in a fight during the first part of the race against Sebastian Vettel for the last step of the podium.

But the pilot Williams lost his hopes after being recalled to the pits at an inopportune time. The time lost at the exit behind the Red Bull de Daniel Ricciardo did not allow him to catch up with Sebastian Vettel who took the opportunity to gain a place.

“It’s still a very positive result.”, tries to positive Felipe Massa who thus finished in fourth place. “It’s just a shame we missed this opportunity to fight for third place during the pit stop. But what can we do about it? I came out just behind Ricciardo who was much slower than me. It’s still better than the start of the last season (abandonment due to accident). I think that the big fight to follow at the start of the season will be between Williams and Ferrari and I trust the team to continue development. »
