Max Verstappen: “It’s even more satisfying to take pole at home”

He hoped to go home first, and he succeeded! Max Verstappen took pole position for the Dutch Grand Prix thanks to a magnificent lap during his final run of Q3. The Dutchman was very happy to start a 10th time on the highest place on the grid: “ It's good to be on pole position and it's even more satisfying to be on pole at home. All the spectators were crazy every time I crossed the line, it was incredible ». 

The pilot Red Bull enjoyed riding in qualifying on this track: “ I was having a lot of fun since free practice 1, but in qualifying with little fuel, it was just fantastic. Sector 2 and banking, it was a good feeling and I had a lot of fun ». 

However, Max Verstappen was not fully satisfied with his lap: “ My lap was good but I made two small mistakes where I lost a little time. Fortunately, it was enough for pole ». 

The Dutchman is halfway to victory at home. He still expects that the Mercedes be fast in the race, given the level they displayed this Saturday.
