Max Verstappen “is now very complete” for Christian Horner

After playing for almost three seasons alongside Daniel Ricciardo, arrived well before the Dutchman within Red Bull Racing, Max Verstappen took a further step last year by stepping into the shoes of the undisputed leader within Milton Keynes.

Author of three successes and ranked third in the championship, the status of the young prodigy has been further revised upwards, also benefiting from a Red Bull – Honda alliance in more than interesting form for a first joint campaign.

For Christian Horner, Max Verstappen has now reached a major milestone in his career. Before the world title? “I think he took responsibility to be the team leader andit is now very complete, comments the Red Bull Racing Team Principal on the Dutch driver's website.

He has had some phenomenal races this season and has completed over 100 Grands Prix at just 22 years old, giving him an incredible base of knowledge and experience.

He is now in a position where he is more than capable of challenging for the world championship and we need to give him a car with which he can do that. If we can accomplish that, I'm confident he can take the fight to Lewis, Mercedes et Ferrari.

He responds: his form has been fantastic and I think he is the fittest of the drivers F1 Right now. »

In his mind, Max Verstappen recently said this before the start of the new year: he is ready for the title from 2020.
