Max Verstappen: “We have work to do”

If there is one word to define the first day of the weekend in Monza Max Verstappen it is indeed “mixed”. Fifth during the two free practice sessions on the Italian track, the driver Red Bull did not seem comfortable behind the wheel of his car and his statements seem to confirm the impressions.

« We suffered with the balance and grip of the car, pointed out Max Verstappen after the first day of testing. Not the best way to start the weekend, we have work to do ».

Fifth, more than a second behind Mercedes, the Dutch driver failed to find his feet at Monza. He intends to take advantage of the last practice session before qualifying to find the right settings for qualifying and Sunday's race.

« I don't know how the tires will behave but if you have a balanced car everything will be fine normally. So we need to find that balance before qualifying ". At work.
