Are you starting to realize your achievement?
Gently. The season has been incredible, not just this race, and marked by fantastic battles. At the start of the year, I had a good feeling. We said to ourselves with the team that we could get involved more in the fight for the title, compared to previous campaigns. But to find myself in this position... It's an incredible result.
How much did you enjoy fighting Lewis Hamilton ?
I really had a lot of fun. There were naturally some heated moments, but that's part of the game when you play a world championship. Now that the season is over, we can take a breather and relax a little. The competition was intense. We pushed ourselves to our limits in almost every race, it was really fun.
Among the 10 victories you bagged in 2021, which ones had the most impact on you?
The one in Monaco was special, because it's a track that hadn't really worked for me in the past. There is also success in Zandvoort in front of my audience. And then there was this race in Abu Dhabi with this totally final

What will come next? If the FIA persists in its wanderings probably other titles unfairly served on a platter, but on reflection in fact perhaps nothing at all the FIA being in the process of scuttling F1.
