How Max Verstappen transformed in 2022

Since his world champion title acquired in 2021, Max Verstappen has changed and gained enormously in serenity. Very (too?) aggressive last year against Hamilton, the Dutchman now drives with remarkable maturity, and this shows from an accounting point of view. Story of a change in physiognomy.

But where did the insolent 17 and a half year old teenager go who laughed in the face of all the world champions when they criticized with one voice the slightly aggressive approach and the unfailing impudence which the young Batavian displayed? evidence ? Where did the sulfur go? Max Verstappen who brought hell to Lewis Hamilton in 2021 with his frankly borderline maneuvers in an absolutely magnificent but particularly bellicose fight for the title?

In 2022, the Dutchman returned unrecognizable, transformed, as if his first real battle for the title which took place last year had allowed him to accumulate 10 years of experience. In 2022, Max the threat is still just as menacing (6 victories in 11 Grands Prix), but he now appears calm, smiling (yes!), sure of his strength and that of his team in all circumstances. We won't go so far as to say that Jos's son became an altar boy.
