Max Verstappen has won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, in front of his teammate at Red Bull Sergio Pérez and George Russell (Mercedes). The Dutchman takes full advantage Ferrari's woes to strike a big blow with a view to the Drivers' World Championship, in which he consolidates his lead at the top. “ We had incredible pace today (this Sunday), we had to pay attention to the tires. I managed to take the lead from Checo (Pérez). We were a little lucky with the abandonments of Ferrari, but that doesn't change the fact that we had pace today“, reacted Max Verstappen
MAX: Today we had incredible pace in the car. Overall really happy with how the balance of the car was. To have the 1-2 as a team – a really good day for us"#AzerbaijanGP #F1 pic.twitter.com/hnBnNLDjJX

Max Verstappen, who retired last year while leading the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, is now 21 points ahead. He is the 6th different winner in Baku. “ Overall, I'm very happy with the balance of the car today. The key was tire management, the general grip of the car. As a team, with Checo, we really managed to do what we needed to do. It's a great day for us with this double. Confident after Canada? I don't know, every weekend is different. Everything can change very quickly.«
