McLaren in the unknown with Alonso's accident

While McLaren-Honda had a very disappointing qualifying at the Australian GP in Melbourne, the team still seems to be wondering about the origin of the accident of Fernando Alonso at the Barcelona tests (Spain). A McLaren-Honda spokesperson admitted BBC Sport that the Woking team still did not know the precise origin of the accident but ruled out that a mechanical failure could have been the cause of the exit from the track. “We are certain that the accident was not caused by a fault in the car… We don't know exactly how this accident happened.."

Fernando Alonso is expected to return to the Malaysian GP on March 29 at Sepang. “ McLaren-Honda continues to discuss and cooperate with the FIA ​​and Fernando's doctors, but it won't be up to us to decide when he gets back behind the wheel...
