McLaren and Button united for the long term

This is not a surprise, but the confirmation still took longer than expected to come out. But Jenson Button and McLaren agreed well. The British driver and the Woking team have extended the contract between them for several years, the exact number of which has not been specified. Amazing again this season, the 2009 world champion is delighted with this news.

“I have never felt more at home in a team than I do now at McLaren-Mercedes, He says. I have won four of my best victories here, I am currently second in the general classification, and I feel like I have never driven so well. You can only achieve this with the necessary support, and I am convinced that the passion and motivation to win is stronger at McLaren than anywhere else. These are powerful and incredible feelings to share, and which have only strengthened my desire to commit to this team for the long term. I have never hidden my ambition to continue winning races and championships, and I am sure this is the place to achieve those goals. »

With Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, McLaren secures a pair of drivers who have nothing to envy of all the other teams. Martin Whitmarsh?s team is also the only one to race two world champions in F1.
