Mercedes calls six replacements after Covid-19 tests

Thursday, a member of the team Mercedes had tested positive for Covid-19 on the sidelines of the Eifel Grand Prix. He was placed in quarantine in Germany and subsequently, according to the health protocol put in place by the FIA, the entire team underwent new tests. Only one tested positive and another was inconclusive, which will have to be tested again.

To comply with the instructions, four additional people, despite their negative test, have been placed in isolation and will not be able to take part in the Nürburgring weekend. In an emergency, the firm with the star called in six people who had traveled from England as reinforcements.

They will integrate the different bubbles which structure the paddock of F1 but also each team. Nothing to report, however, on the pilots' side.
