Mercedes awaits Schumacher's response

If the future of Mercedes AMG F1 is often called into question, the German team remains focused on its future with Michael Schumacher who once again proved that he had the skills necessary to fight at the forefront. After a particularly difficult start to the season, the seven-time world champion managed to put an end to his series of retirements by signing his first podium with the star manufacturer in Valencia before returning to the points at Silverstone. According to Ross Brawn, Team Principal of the Silver Arrows, the German has retained his thirst for competition and his team will wait to hear his decision before looking for a possible replacement.

Ross Brawn would like to point out that no ultimatum has been presented to the seven-time world champion and seems rather optimistic about his choice. “We will be with Michael while he makes his decision and whatever he chooses”, indicated the Team Principal of the German team. “We haven't discussed it yet, but he appreciates the time spent with us... Inevitably, we will reach a point where we will have to start discussions because it may take time and we need to come to a conclusion to prepare for the future. But there is no ultimatum, it will be the right decision and that is what is most important. This choice will be made mutually and will be driven by the passion for competition because he loves what he does. »
