Mercedes performs in EL1 of the Italian GP

The Mercedes were the most efficient in the first practice session of the Italian GP at Monza, while the last minutes were disrupted by light rain. With the super soft tires favored by all drivers, Lewis Hamilton achieved a time of 1’21”537, ahead of his teammate by more than 4 tenths Valtteri Bottas.

The Ferrari are closest to the W08, but the SF70-H of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen are more than a second behind the first reference. THE Red Bull de Daniel Ricciardo et Max Verstappen finish a few hundredths behind the Prancing Horse single-seaters racing at home this weekend, but the two RB13s will have to move back on the grid. The hierarchy is respected with Sergio Pérez 7th with less than a tenth ahead of his teammate Esteban Ocon.

Stoffel Vandoorne (McLaren) and Felipe Massa (Williams) complete the top ten ahead Carlos Sainz Jr. (Toro Rosso) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas). Lance stroll (Williams) follows in 13th place ahead of Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) and Fernando Alonso (McLaren) penalized on the Monza grid. Romain Grosjean (Haas) must be satisfied with 16th place ahead of the Renault de Nico Hulkenberg and Jolyon Palmer. The Saubers of Pascal Wehrlein and Marucs Ericsson complete the list.
