Mercedes confident ahead of the Canadian GP

Si Michael Schumacher experienced another retirement at the Monaco Grand Prix, the seven-time world champion still managed to take pole before falling back on the grid following his penalty. His teammate Nico Rosberg proved that the Silver Arrow was performing well by taking second place behind Mark Webber. The German intends to confirm the potential of his car next week at the Canadian GP.

“With its low downforce and slow corners, a bit like Monza, the track should suit our car », comments the winner of the Chinese Grand Prix. “We have made progress in recent weeks and this was evident with our performance in Monaco. I hope we make further progress in Canada. » Without forgetting that Michael Schumacher will be keen to finally achieve a good result after his poor start to the season. “Michael qualified in first place on Saturday and Nico finished second on Sunday? Everyone plans to continue this good impression with the Montreal race next weekend.”, adds Ross Brawn, Team Principal of Mercedes AMG F1.
