Mercedes publishes its annual development report

With Lewis Hamilton under contract with Mercedes, the German team is investing more and more in favor of ecology and diversity. These two themes which are important for the British driver represent important areas of improvement for Mercedes. So to measure the work done, the German team has just revealed its second annual development report.

« Over the past few years, we have worked tirelessly to change and better understand the impact we have on the world. We are fully committed to the path of sustainable high performance. This is the future for all of us ", Explain Toto wolff, the main team of the German team.

In 2022, Mercedes announced its intention to reduce its emissions by 50%. An ambitious figure but one that was nevertheless achieved. But to become pioneers, the German team must do even better and will try to completely reduce category 1 and 2 emissions.

The other important part of this plan is diversity. With the Accelerate 25 program, Mercedes wants at least 25% of new employees each year to come from underrepresented groups. “ We are at the start of this journey, but we are committed to extremely ambitious goals as we are all in the race towards a sustainable future. I am very proud of our team for the achievements we have made thus far and for the cutting-edge strategies we are committed to implementing in the years to come », concludes Toto Wolff.
