Mercedes delays the introduction of its new engine

The Canadian Grand Prix was to be an opportunity for the engine manufacturers involved in F1 to introduce changes to their respective Power Unit, but Mercedes finally decided to postpone the arrival of this evolved block at the French Grand Prix.

As indicated by a spokesperson for the German entity, cited by Sky Sports F1, “While we had hoped to introduce PU2 (Power Unit 2) this weekend, a quality problem forced to delay this by one race. All cars equipped with Mercedes engines will therefore run in PU1 this weekend before receiving new units in France. »

The official Mercedes team, Force India and Williams are the three teams concerned for the Canadian event in Montreal.
