Michael Schumacher warns his rivals

In Melbourne, the team Mercedes GP lived a nightmare. In qualifying, Michael Schumacher had been eliminated in Q2. The next day, the German saw his Grand Prix tarnished from the start by a puncture due to contact. Finally, he had to give up a few laps later, a handful of minutes before his teammate and compatriot Nico Rosberg was harpooned by the Williams by Rubens Barrichello. A weekend to forget for the team of Norbert Haug and Ross Brawn. Insufficient, however, to make Michael Schumacher lose his morale.

“The track (at Sepang, editor's note) is really nice, you can take several different lines at several corners, something you can't do almost anywhere else, underlines the seven-time world champion. Obviously, we want to do better than in the opening round, which was a disappointment for all of us. We see this as a challenge, and it is too early to cross ourselves off the list. Everyone on the team remains positive and maintains a fighting spirit. So I'm waiting for a better weekend, a weekend that will allow us to move forward. »

Let us hope in any case that the performances of the W02s seen during the winter tests were not just illusions, and that the 2011 Silver Arrows will quickly be able to fight for the podium.
