This is news that many were still hoping for. Michael Schumacher has finally come out of the coma in which the former pilot Ferrari had been diving since December 29 and his serious skiing accident in the resort of Méribel in Savoie. The seven-time world champion suffered from several brain hemorrhages which required several operations, carried out by neurosurgery specialists at the Grenoble University Hospital (Isère) where the German had been hospitalized for more than five months.

“Michael left Grenoble University Hospital to continue his long phase of rehabilitation. He is no longer in a coma, explains Sabine Kehm in the press release published this morning. His family wants to thank the Grenoble medical team, but also the first people who came to his aid following his accident. His family also wants to thank all the people who sent him all their affection. For the future, his rehabilitation will take place out of sight. »
