Michael Schumacher is still struggling

Michael Schumacher even almost went further than his ninth place. In Q2, the driver Mercedes qualified at the last minute, in tenth position, Rubens Barrichello (Williams) having come very close to the time of his former team leader at Ferrari. In Q3, Michael Schumacher tried everything but this MGP W01 still seems not to suit him.

« It was a tense qualifier for me, the German told us in the Shanghai paddock. I haven't been able to find the right balance on my car since the start of the weekend. We have a new rear wing here. Nico (Rosberg) and I have a different opinion about him. Let's just say that Nico's must be better than mine! »

Schumi, not satisfied with the performance of his car, is now impatiently waiting for the MGP W01 to be adorned with developments allowing him to better master it. If, in F1, the drivers are invited not to talk too much about technique and to concentrate on their driving, the seven-time World Champion has the track record allowing him to ask for a car adapted to his qualities. In the meantime, he has no excessive ambitions for the Chinese Grand Prix.

« I couldn?t find the balance of the car all weekend, so it?s difficult to be optimistic for tomorrow, says the German pilot. I'm far on the grid but I've had some good starts recently and a lot can happen in an F1 race. I can score a few points and I will work on it. »
