Michael Schumacher regrets his mistake

Michael Schumacher was impatiently awaited at his national Grand Prix. If the new German star is named Sebastian Vettel, the seven-time World Champion still has many fans who dreamed of seeing him shine at the Nürburgring. They will have to settle for eighth place, despite the German's efforts to get a good result.

The former pilot of the Team regrets his spin in the race which prevented him from achieving a better result. “It was a race as exciting for the spectators as it was for the drivers”, the pilot of the Flèche d?Argent is satisfied. “My spin took me completely by surprise, but this place is known to be difficult in the wet, although the track wasn't really wet today. In any case, it cost me places, it’s a real shame. »

Michael Schumacher is still satisfied with this eighth place, even if he deplores the absence of rain at the end of the race. “The rain could have benefited me at the end of the race, but I didn’t count on it”, he adds. “Generally speaking, I am quite satisfied with this race. With the slight changes made, we can now focus on Hungary. »
