Michael Schumacher pushes his limits

Michael Schumacher, after three years of retirement (2007-2009), made the crazy bet of returning to the highest level of motor racing. At the end of 2009, the German, who had nothing left to prove after winning seven world titles, agreed to put his reputation on the line. F1 at 41, Schumi is now a year older? but always the motivation to be at the top of your game.

Born on January 3, 1969, Michael Schumacher is of another generation than the current F1 drivers, except Rubens Barrichello or Jarno Trulli. Despite everything, the former pilot Ferrari put his reputation on the line. Despite a disappointing season sportingly, the German seems to have never given up. “The season ended on a good note,” he admitted recently. On a physical level, this season was not grueling. »

If many former drivers have questioned his ability to regain his best level, Michael Schumacher has given himself three years to fulfill his mission, after three years of retirement. “Coming back to competition is difficult. I did it after six months of absence: physically, it’s hard,” Jacques Villeneuve told us recently. But Schumi is a man of challenge. Aged 42, he is twice the age of other drivers but will be back on the grid in 2011.
