The British Grand Prix contested on July 3 allowed Mick Schumacher to break the curse. This 31st career start was the scene of the German's first points in F1 thanks to his 8th place on Sunday. In the process, the son of Michael Schumacher continued with a 2nd finish in the Top 10 in Austria (6th) after a solid weekend where he stood out by standing up to a certain Lewis Hamilton, and this for many laps.

« I felt confident with the car, he confided after his 2nd consecutive points harvest. The tires didn't last as long as we expected and were forced to switch over two stops, but we showed good pace. What we wanted to do at the start of the weekend, I consider we did. I think the points could have come sooner. Much sooner. All joking aside, it's great for the team. Double entry in the points again, twice in a row, which was not really planned in a way. So it's a refreshing change. We show the potential of the car and also of the drivers."
Finally a good dynamic for Schumacher?
After a tough first season of 2021 and a start to 2022 complicated by a few serious accidents (Jeddah and Monaco), Mick Schumacher seems to have found the right formula to achieve good performances. So would this good series be synonymous with a click for the pilot? Haas who recently recognized a period of “tension” with Günther Steiner?
« I don't know, it's always hard to say, tempers the main interested party. I think we know what we need to make our car fast. We had a solid car at the start of the season, but perhaps we got a little lost in terms of settings. We are back in the right direction and other people may now be having difficulty with their set. » Mick Schumacher will have the opportunity to confirm whether this good dynamic is the fruit of his work or a simple fleeting visit in a little over a week to Castellet for the French Grand Prix.
