Mick Schumacher suffers violent crash in qualifying

The images made us shudder for many minutes. With five minutes remaining in Q2 of the qualifying session for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this Saturday, March 26, the Haas led by Mick Schumacher went at high speed into the concrete wall at the exit of turn 12:

The German driver was quickly rescued by the medical service and then transported by ambulance to the medical center at the Corniche circuit in Jeddah. The information released by the North American team and then by the FIA was reassuring.
“A check at the medical center did not reveal any injury and Mick Schumacher was airlifted to the King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital for precautionary assessments “, indicated the FIA.
The Haas team, for its part, indicated that the son of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher was able to speak briefly with his mother, Corinna Schumacher, to reassure her about his physical condition. Mick Schumacher did not lose consciousness following this crash, which required an interruption of the session for almost an hour.
