Montezemolo ignores Marchionne’s “provocations”

Certain comments from Sergio Marchionne made this week duringa Prancing Horse press conference may have seemed out of place. The new President of Ferrari indeed suggested that the current situation of the Ferrari team Maranello had been caused by bad choice of management and expressed his reluctance to have Luca di Montezemolo, whom he pushed towards the exit, take over the leadership of the Formula One Group.

Luca di Montezemolo preferred not to create tensions even if he reacted to these statements through the press agency Handle. « I promised myself not to make controversies for the deep love I have for Ferrari. Out of respect for those who work there today and who have worked on projects that have won races. I have heard comments in recent weeks that do not always correspond to reality. I do not want to respond to these provocations. The sporting success, greater than all others, the strength and prestige of the brand in the world, the financial results of FCA (Fiat Chrysler) which this year are the best in the history of the company, are sufficiently eloquent. »
