Montoya doesn't want to hear about F1 anymore

The former Williams driver is having happy days in Nascar. If his last season was disappointing, it will not make the Colombian regret his departure from a discipline that he considers less fun.

Montoya doesn't want to hear about F1 anymore

Juan Pablo Montoya scored the F1 in just six seasons spent with Williams et McLaren. Author of seven victories in the discipline during his career, the Colombian was appreciated for his fiery temperament on and off the track. But he has since retired from the car and set off to meet the American ovals.

If the prospect of a comeback would be appreciated by F1 spectators, Juan Pablo Montoya indicated that a comeback such as that of Michael Schumacher would never happen. “Some people tell me I should come back to F1, but I’m happy here,” he commented on prensa.com.

The driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet, however, did not have a brilliant season. Although he won the Watkins Glen race (road circuit), he was not part of the Chasers this year to be able to compete for the title. However, the situation does not seem to worry him. “My sponsor and Chip Ganassi are satisfied and that's all that matters,” said the Colombian.

The choice of Juan Pablo Montoya seems all the more certain as F1 no longer interests him. ?I saw the last race this year and it?s still the same thing. One car is a second faster than the other but it cannot overtake it. They say the problem is with the circuits, but honestly, F1 has always been like that. »
