Mosley demands apology from Montezemolo

FIA President Max Mosley lost a battle by agreeing to reverse the regulations he had wanted to introduce in F1 for 2010. However, he did not at all appreciate the way Luca di Montezemolo commented on these decisions. The latter had even expressed his wish that Mosley's successor at the head of the FIA would not be "a dictator", implying that Max Mosley was, in his way of decreeing the rules which govern the king of motor sports.

Max Mosley therefore sent a letter to Luca di Montezemolo, president of Ferrari and FOTA (stable association), so that he could make a public apology. “ You implied that I was a "dictator", an accusation which greatly insults the 26 members of the FIA World Council, who have discussed and voted on the rules of Formula 1 since the 80s », Wrote the president of the FIA in the letter which the Reuters agency was able to consult.

On Wednesday, the president of the FIA, while the conflict with FOTA seemed to be over, expressed his wish not to run for his own succession in October. But the fact that Luca di Montezemolo spoke to the media, mentioning the names of possible successors to Max Mosley, greatly shocked the person concerned. For this also, he demands an apology from the president of FOTA. Clearly, the FIA-FOTA tension continues and continues.
