Mosley: “Something unusual”

Max Mosley, the president of the FIA, affirmed that he had to investigate the affair of the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix after the statements of the Piquet family. The latter indicates that the accident suffered by Nelson Junior at the 2008 Singapore GP was planned by his team to allow Fernando Alonso to win the race.

« The car?s data indicates that something unusual happened in the corner where it [Nelson Piquet Junior] had his accident? according to the experts who deal with this ", said Max Mosley. “ There was enough material and it was unthinkable not to launch an investigation. This week, Renault will send written documents but the hearing will not take place until next Monday (in fact it will only take place on Wednesday, editor’s note),” he concluded.
