Fans Formula 1 will be able to continue to “binge-watch” episodes of the series “Drive to Survive” (in French “Pilots of their destiny”). Indeed, Netflix and F1 have confirmed the extension of production of the successful series for two additional years, covering the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

According to the F1 press release, season 4 of Drive to Survive was a great success. This focused on the epic 2021 season concluded with the final victory of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) On Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes).

This season attracted the highest audience ever evaluated over the four seasons broadcast and reached the weekly top 10 of the most viewed programs on the video-on-demand platform in no less than 56 countries. However, the reviews on the specialized site Rotten Tomatoes only reached 14% positive reviews, compared to 57% for the previous season, 85% for season 2 and 91% for the inaugural season.

Season 5 of Drive to Survive is in production and will be broadcast on Netflix in 2023, probably in March to coincide with the launch of the Grands Prix.
