Newey: the RB15 chassis must improve

Red Bull is divided on its start to the season where it has a podium won by Max Verstappen at the Australian GP. The stable of Milton Keynes benefits from its new partnership with Honda following the tensions experienced with Renault, but the results are struggling to change compared to last year with a victory played between Mercedes et Ferrari.

The director of the technical office Adrian Newey confided that the RB15 chassis could still be improved in the face of competition, but the Austrian team remains optimistic by relying on the performance offered by the Japanese engine manufacturer.

“I have to admit that the car is not at the level we would like in terms of the chassis, confided the engineer on Sky Sports. Honda has brought new life. They are very pleasant people to work with, they are very well organized. This new relationship motivated the team. They always deliver what they promised, we have no complaints about that. We are very different culturally, but things go very well as long as we understand and respect each other. »

Red Bull is in 3rd place in the Constructors' Championship, 17 points behind Ferrari ahead of the 1000th Grand Prix contested this weekend on the Shanghai circuit in China.
