Alexander Albon being ahead of Nicholas Latifi in the Drivers' standings, it was the Thai who won the right to use the modifications. “ This is something quite normal when the upgrades are available on only one car », Explains the Canadian about his team's decision. Although the 27-year-old driver will not be able to use them, he still plans to keep a close eye on the changes made to the FW44. “ Even if it's not on my car, I hope it will make a big difference. Nicholas Latifi needs improvements to improve his performance

This season, Williams is the last team in the paddock and improvements are starting to be desperately overdue. “ For my part, I would have liked there to be two sets of improvements, especially since these are our first improvements of the season. The front wing, the sidepods, the floor, the diffuser, the engine cover and even the rear suspensions, the look of the FW44 has completely changed at Silverstone. But for the moment, Nicholas Latiti refuses to play the game of predictions about the time saved thanks to the change. “ Time will tell. We'll know more on Saturday and Sunday to be honest. It's probably too early to give a precise number, specifies the Williams driver. We were given a very wide range, and a potential time. So we really have to see what this is going to be like. » The rain at Silverstone during the first free practice session has not yet allowed Williams to demonstrate the full potential of this new version of the FW44.
