Nick Fry and Mercedes confident

Sixth place in Michael Schumacher in Bahrain last weekend was judged very differently by specialists in the F1. Disappointing for some, encouraging for others. One thing is certain, within the team Mercedes we are confident, as Autosport announces, convinced that the Rosberg-Schumi association can create sparks.

“Listening to the discussions within the stable, I did not feel any difference in feelings between him (Michael Schumacher, editor’s note) and Nico, says Nick Fry. Both of them know exactly what they want to improve on the car, and I think their opinions are similar. »

The Briton, pleasantly surprised by the behavior of Nico Rosberg when the Kaiser's return was announced.

?I was incredibly surprised by Nico?s approach from the moment he knew Michael was joining us. He never seemed perturbed, and although sometimes Michael attracted a lot of attention, it didn't seem to bother him. He proved how fast he is and I think he will continue to improve. »

All the conditions are therefore met to make the German team a regular candidate for victory.

“I am very confident, continues the CEO of Mercedes GP. I think the team is good, the drivers seem to work very well together and I think we leave Bahrain knowing that we still have a lot of work to do, but we are far from disappointed. We have significant room for improvement, and that?s the main thing. »

There is optimism on the Stuttgart side. Mercedes is not missing much to get closer to Ferrari et Red Bull. Perhaps Michael Schumacher's first victory since his return could come sooner than expected.
