Nico Hülkenberg remains under pressure

The start of the season Nico Hulkenberg did not get off to the best start since the Force India driver retired on the first lap of the race at Albert Park. The German was able to make up for it at Sepang despite poor qualifying by grabbing ninth place. “I am satisfied with my race in Malaysia, it was my first real event that I competed in since the end of 2010. It was not an easy race and I was never alone on the track, but it was a satisfaction to bring back these first points. The biggest difficulty was at the restart of the race where I hesitated between the rain and the intermediates.

Force India's targets are to finish in fifth place in the Constructors' Championship. The score is not there for the moment since the Indian team occupies sixth position, seven points behind Lotus F1 team. Mercedes AMG F1 has not yet managed to translate the good performances of the W03, but Sauber F1 Team shone with second place in Sergio Perez in Malaysia. “We’re only at the start of the season, we’ve only had two race weekends so we still have to wait.”, reassures Nico Hülkenberg. “The middle of the pack is so compact that no one can afford to be relaxed. We all need to do what we can to improve our performances and there is plenty of time to do so with 18 races on the schedule. »
